Here are a few pictures from the little party we had for Steven's birthday.

Ah, the cake. Nothing else was Yu-Gi-Oh themed at his party. But the choices are limited when you live at the end of nowhere. He did like it though, and that's more important. This was the smallest I could get from Eagle Center, i think we'll be eating it until his next birthday.

Steven blows out his Birthday candles. I am happy to report he got all seven on his first try! That means his wish will come true, right? I'm pretty sure he wished for world peace and an end to hunger.

Steven holds up a Ben-10 action figure from Pepaw and Chica. It transforms into binoculars. It is also the only thing Steven got this year that Hannah loves to play with.

Steven opens his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Carter. It was a mostly Ninja Turtle year for him, Hannah and I also got him a wide assortment of figures from the recent movie. There enough small plastic ninja weapons all over the house to arm an entire army. A two-inch tall army.

And of course Hannah was there. You can see her here enjoying "Hannah's Cake". She pronounced ownership as soon as we put in the cart at the store. She told everyone we passed that it was her cake. Sorry Steven! ;)
So the celebration was a success. The only odd thing that happened was that in the middle of our rendition of "Happy Birthday" a small dog trotted by the window carrying a dead raven. It was one of those "only in Alaska" moments.
Till next time! Dan
