This Friday was the premier of Steven's class play, "Who Pushed Humpty?". Someone has committed a terrible crime in Rhyme Land ans pushed Humpty off his wall. There are 4 suspects: Mary, Little Bo Peep, Jack Nimble, and Little Boy Blue (played by Steven). Mother Goose interviews each person and the audience gets to decide the guilty party. That person then has to face the wrath of Ole King Cole. Here are some of the better pictures from the morning's performance.
Before the play started we were treated to a few songs played by the kids on the hand bells. Here is Steven doing his part of Three Blind Mice.
Next the kids each recited a rhyme for us. Steven did Little Boy Blue, of course.
Here Steven is dancing in the opening number. You can see Mother Goose on the left and Jack Nimble on the right. Also visible are three of the four Baby Flower Girls.
The characters are singing the song that introduces Little Boy Blue. Steven got to "rock out" on his sax.
The interrogation! Little Boy Blue tells his side of the story to Mother Goose.
More dancing. The directions for assembling Steven's costume were make it blue and make it look cool.
And the big bow at the end. The guilty person turned out to be Little Bo Peep. The class performs again next week for the senior citizens center in Homer.
And last of all there was an awards presentation. Steven received a total of three awards: Mathematics Achievement, Reading Achievement, and Spelling Achievement.
