Long Time no Post!

It has been a LONG time since I used this blog to post updates, however my New Year's Resolution is to start posting again.  Here are a couple pics from the last couple years to start things off.


Here is our new house!  We've been in it for about 6 months now.

The group of super-nerds we went with to see Guardians of the Galaxy.

And the newest member of the family on her adoption day, Mona Lisa.  She is a Box/Terrier mix, and the sweetest girl.  She is VERY protective of her family.

Lastly, a group of us went Ghost Hunting in the Lemp Mansion a while back.  We rented the whole place overnight.  This was the only evidence we came away with, and we didn't notice it till a few days later.  My sister took the picture of myself and my Mom on the bed in the "Lavender Room", but who is that shimmering figure in the doorway?!?!?  It was not something we noticed when we were in the room, that's for sure!

Orange Belt Promotion!

Steven attended his promotion ceremony at karate today and earned the rank of orange belt!  Here are some pics from the event:

 After class the students were invited to try to break thicker boards.  Steven gets ready to try a 1/2 inch thick one this time.

The last board was one inch thick, and even some of the black belts in the dojo can't get through it.  Steven was successful in his second attempt!  There was much clapping and ovation.  Gratz on your promotion Steven!

Merry Christmas 2013!!

Here are some pictures from Xmas morning this year.

 Pepaw sponsored a wild horse in Hannah's name for X-mas.  The mustang's name is Felix.  This is one of the cooler gifts this year, in my opinion.

 Steven finds the receipt for a fleece jacket embroidered with our dojo's logo on it.  Unfortunately it didn't make it here before Christmas.

Steven gets the shoes he's been asking for.  The kid loves black, and neon colors!

Captain Steven!

Steven and I went to see the new Hobbit movie a few days ago, and there was a neat backdrop there for the upcoming Captain America movie.

Steven gets ready to defend America by jumping out of a plane with his trusty shield.  Now if only he had remembered a parachute!

Hannah and I Are White Belts!

A few days ago Hannah and I joined Steven at the dojo.  We are both now white belts!  We start attending class when they get back from Xmas break on Jan 7th!

High Gold Belt!

Steven's karate dojo held their advancement ceremony today and Steven got his high gold belt!
