OMG everyone panic!!! Well, that's what the local news seems to think anyways. Here in reality it was a pretty dull day. The kids were out of school yesterday and today, but get to go back tomorrow. Here are some pics of the ice at our house:

Steven was having a hard time shoveling the ice with a snow shovel, so he upgraded to steel.

Hannah joined the effort to clear the driveway, but she was happy just moving the snow around.

Still working hard.

Steven is getting ready to quit after clearing a whole square foot.

Hannah shows Steven how to do it.

And Hannah moves to a smaller shovel.

Steven gives it one more try.

Here is a close up of our poor little tree. Even the trunk had a half inch of ice on it.

I thought the way the ice covered our porch light looked cool.

We had to chip the mailbox out for the mailman.

I put the wipers up to keep em from freezing, but it didn't work that well.

I had to teach a cubscout meeting today, but all my stuff was in the trunk. It took about 15 mins of ice chipping to get it to open.

The ice on the car is 2 inches thick in someplaces. There is no way the doors are going to open until the sun comes out.

Even the tires had ice on them!!
So, we are all doing fine here. We even made it out to Applebees for dinner tonight. Of course we had to take the car that was in the garage. :)
