The Science Center!

Yesterday we took a trip to the St. Louis Science Center. Grandpa Waters is in town and we wanted to do something fun! Both kids have been there before, but never together.
Steven uses the telescope on the walkway over the highway. You can see the window in the floor behind him that lets you watch the cars zoom by beneath your feet.
Hannah takes a turn on the other side. They also had radar guns so you could see how fast the traffic was moving.
Both kids pose next to one of the radar guns.
Experimenting with wind speed and roof shape.
The tractor scoop. Hannah was the best at this. She got the biggest scoop!
Steven works to build a truss bridge.
Success!!!
Everybody chipped in to complete this arch out of blocks.
Hannah takes a spin the the human powered marble-machine in the main lobby.
Steven spun it faster. Hannah could barely get the wheel to turn.
A view of just part of the machine. The tracks for the giant marbles wove all over the ceiling and walls of the lobby.
We even sneaked in some actual learning with real science!
Hannah is just slightly taller than an emperor penguin!
A final pose next to the life-size animatronic dinosaurs. That poor triceratops has been laying there being eaten for years now!
