Yesterday I promised some big news, so here goes:
A few weeks ago Steven wrote a story for his school's Young Author competition. All the kids in the fourth and fifth grade at his school were required to enter. His story is called "The Day My Socks Did My homework". Today was the awards ceremony for the winners.
Here is Steven going up with his class to receive a ribbon that everyone who submitted a story got. There were a total of 7 classes of kids in the competition.
Here is the ribbon that everyone got. Now for the BIG news:
Steven got first place!!!
Here he poses for the paparazzi. He also got a chest full of gold coins, but he wanted to hang on to it for the day, so there are no close up pics as of yet :)

And the certificate. I am going to try to figure out a way to post his story so everyone can read it. If everyone could try to remember to call him tonight and congratulate him it would be awesome. He worked VERY hard on writing his story. Call him on my cell tonight if you can, we are going out to a celebration dinner after Hannah's dance class. Good job Steven!!!!!!
